Welcome classroom teachers & educators! I’m glad you’ve found me. I'm a registered nurse who grew up with my mom as an elementary school teacher and I feel like my job, as a school nurse, is the perfect intersection of where I could have landed. I have a huge respect for all that you do and the load that you carry. I hope to share with you some helpful resources and tools, as well as insights into how school nurses work and think. We definitely have our own differing expertise, but as a team, we can do so much to help students learn and thrive in school.

I know teaching and working in schools today can be a heavy load. Although I’m a nurse and speaking mostly about things school nursing, I hope that what I share can impact your classrooms and make a difference in your day.

If you have ever wondered what happens behind the scenes in the health office, you are not alone. School nurses juggle far more than bandages and ice packs. We manage chronic conditions, medication schedules, screenings, emergencies, paperwork, and a constant stream of students who just need someone safe to talk to for a minute.

My goal is to help bridge the gap between classrooms and the nurse’s office, between student health and learning. I want to share clarity on when a student truly needs to be sent to the nurse, when and what classroom strategies may help first, and how we can work together to keep students learning whenever possible. Less confusion means fewer interruptions for you and better care for kids.

You will also find practical tools here that are designed to support both educators and school nurses. Things like posters, checklists, passes, and student friendly visuals that help encourage independence and reduce unnecessary office visits. Small systems can make a big difference in the flow of the school day.

More than anything, I want this space to feel supportive. Schools are busy, loud, emotional places and everyone inside of them has a lot to carry. You are doing meaningful work. If something I share makes your day easier, gives you a new perspective, or brings you a quick smile, then I'm glad you've found me.

Thank you for what you do for students every single day. I’m grateful you’re here, and I’m excited to share and offer my support.
